1. Who we are and what this policy covers
Techside operates this PC storefront as a sole proprietorship based in Cupertino, California. This policy explains personal information handled when you browse, place an order, arrange pickup, contact us, request service, or interact with our advertising. Contact techsidepcllc@gmail.com for privacy questions. References to “we,” “us” and “our” mean Techside.

Our storefront uses Shopify for shopping and checkout. Other websites and platforms have their own privacy policies.

2. Information we collect and where it comes from
Contact and account information: name, email, phone number if supplied, billing and delivery addresses, and account identifiers when you use a supported customer account. Sources include you and the shopping/account provider.
Orders and transactions: selected PC and upgrades, cart contents, order number, prices, payment and refund status, transaction references, pickup arrangements, shipment details and correspondence. Shopify and payment services process payment information; payments are handled through Shopify and its payment providers.
Support and warranty information: your messages, product identifiers, reported faults, photos, diagnostic information and service history that you provide. Please remove personal files from diagnostic attachments and do not email passwords, full payment-card numbers, government identification numbers or other unnecessary sensitive information.
Device and browsing information: IP address, browser and device characteristics, language, referring page, approximate location inferred from IP, timestamps, pages and product interactions, cookie or similar identifiers, and security or access records, to the extent collected by the hosting platform and enabled services.
Advertising and measurement information: referral or ad-click identifiers, browsing and conversion events, product interests and campaign responses when the corresponding tools are enabled. Ad platforms may provide campaign reports or attributed interactions.
Public reviews and communications: publicly displayed reviewer names, ratings, dates and review text and excerpts from Facebook Marketplace and Jawa, and content you voluntarily send us.
Preferences and requests: cookie or advertising choices, communication preferences, consent records and records needed to respond to privacy requests.
We collect information directly from you, automatically through the storefront and enabled technologies, from Shopify and service providers, and from the public review sources identified above. Not every category is collected from every visitor. We do not need sensitive personal information to provide a product quote or answer a general question.

3. Why we use information
Provide the storefront, remember shopping choices, process authorized payments, confirm orders, assemble the selected configuration, ship or arrange pickup, and administer returns and refunds.
Answer questions, diagnose reported hardware problems, provide warranty service, and maintain relevant order and service records.
Protect customers and the business against fraud, unauthorized access, payment abuse and security incidents.
Understand storefront performance and improve product information and shopping usability through enabled analytics.
Measure advertising and, where permitted and subject to required choices or consent, reach interested audiences and personalize advertising.
Maintain accounting, tax, legal and compliance records, resolve disputes and respond to lawful requests.
Record and honor privacy and communication choices.
Providing information needed for checkout, delivery or warranty service is voluntary, but we may be unable to complete that particular request without it. An order does not, by itself, enroll you in promotional email or text messages.

4. Who receives information
We disclose information relevant to a task to providers that support it: Shopify and payment processors for commerce; email and communication providers for correspondence; carriers and fulfillment services for delivery; and repair or technical service providers when needed for a service request. Our published support address uses Gmail, so messages sent there are handled by that email service. Providers may also process information under their own terms when they act independently.

Enabled analytics and advertising providers can receive the device, event and campaign information described in section 6. Public review information displayed on our site can be seen by visitors. We may disclose information to professional advisers, to comply with law or valid legal process, to investigate fraud or protect lawful rights, and in a proposed merger, financing, sale or transfer of the business subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal protections. We may disclose information at your direction. We do not publish private order details as customer reviews without permission.

5. Shopify and payment services
On the Shopify storefront, Shopify processes information about visits, purchases and interactions to provide and secure the shopping platform. Payment services process information needed to authorize and settle payments; order records may contain payment status, references and limited payment-method details. Do not send complete card details to Techside by email or support message.

We use Shopify Network Intelligence and associated enhanced services. Shopify processes information from interactions with our storefront together with information from interactions with other merchants and with Shopify to help protect, grow and improve our business, including personalization and advertising services. Information is shared with Shopify and service providers that may process it in countries other than your own. Some advertising uses can qualify as sharing or targeted advertising under applicable law and are subject to applicable privacy choices. Shopify is responsible for its processing to provide these enhanced services, including responding to requests concerning that processing.

Requests about Techside order records should also be sent to us at techsidepcllc@gmail.com.

6. Analytics, advertising and similar technologies
We use Shopify’s Facebook & Instagram by Meta integration with Enhanced data sharing. This enables the Meta Pixel, advanced matching and Conversions API to help measure storefront activity, attribute sales and support advertising on Facebook and Instagram.

Depending on your interactions, enabled settings and applicable privacy choices, the integration may disclose page and product views, cart activity, checkout steps, purchase events, order value and device or browser identifiers. It may also disclose customer identifiers, including name, location, email address and phone number when available, to match activity with Meta users. Some matching identifiers may be hashed; hashing does not necessarily make personal information anonymous.

The Conversions API sends eligible events from Shopify’s servers to Meta. Blocking browser cookies alone may not stop server-side events. Use our privacy-choice controls to manage covered advertising sharing. We process advertising data subject to applicable consent requirements, opt-outs and preference signals.

Disclosures of identifiers, browsing activity or purchase events to advertising partners can qualify as a “sale,” “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising, or targeted advertising under some state laws, even without a cash payment. The absence of a data-broker transaction does not remove those rights.

You can also manage advertising preferences through your Meta account.

Google Ads and possible TikTok advertising are planned additions. Before introducing new advertising tools or materially different data uses, we will update the relevant notices and apply required privacy controls and consent. This policy does not state that every feature offered by a provider is used.

If TikTok is introduced, TikTok US Privacy Policy: https://www.tiktok.com/legal/page/us/privacy-policy/en

Essential shopping, security and preference functions are distinct from optional advertising and analytics. Turning off targeted advertising does not necessarily remove all ads; you may still see contextual or untargeted advertising. We will update this policy and the applicable notices when the tools or data uses materially change.

7. Privacy choices, cookies and opt-outs
Your Privacy Choices — Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information: https://techsidepc.com/pages/data-sharing-opt-out

Use the Your Privacy Choices page to submit a browser-based opt-out of covered sharing or targeted advertising through Shopify’s privacy controls. The form also offers an optional account-related choice using an email address. Follow the instructions and confirmation shown on that page.

You can email a privacy request to techsidepcllc@gmail.com to access or correct your information, request deletion, or opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising associated with information we can reasonably identify. Tell us the request and an email or order reference that helps locate the relevant records; do not send sensitive identity documents unless a necessary, secure verification process has been arranged.

Use the storefront’s cookie/privacy controls, where available, to manage other browser-based choices. Optional tracking is subject to applicable notice, consent and opt-out requirements, including for server-side events. An email request is also available; it is not a substitute for browser controls required by law.

In regions where our Shopify data-sharing opt-out controls apply, a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal triggers an opt-out of covered sale, sharing or targeted advertising for the browser and device sending the signal. We honor applicable opt-out preference signals as required by law. A browser’s ordinary “Do Not Track” setting is different from GPC; no universal DNT response is promised for independent third-party services.

You can also delete or block cookies and site storage through your browser. This can remove a cart, saved configuration or stored privacy choice and may affect checkout. Browser-based choices can be specific to a browser or device; use the controls on other devices too, or contact us about information tied to your account. Provider settings supplement, rather than replace, your choices with Techside.

The Shopify privacy portal offers controls for Shopify’s own processing: https://privacy.shopify.com/en

If promotional emails or texts are introduced, we will provide applicable consent and unsubscribe mechanisms. Necessary order, safety, warranty or request-response messages are handled separately from promotional subscriptions.

8. Your legal rights and requests
Depending on where you live, the law that applies, and the business’s coverage under that law, you may have rights to know or access the categories and specific information held about you; obtain a portable copy; correct inaccuracies; delete information; opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising or certain profiling; limit qualifying uses of sensitive information; withdraw consent where processing depends on consent; and appeal a denied request. These rights have legal exceptions, including records needed for an order, security, tax obligations, claims or a legal requirement. We do not use this policy to claim that every state privacy statute applies to Techside.

Send requests or appeals to techsidepcllc@gmail.com, using “Privacy request” or “Privacy appeal” in the subject. We will explain a denial and applicable appeal options. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a protected privacy right. We do not require an account just to submit a request.

For access, correction or deletion, we may verify identity using information reasonably related to the request and risk, such as matching order and contact details. Authorized agents may submit requests with evidence of permission; identity or authority checks will follow applicable law. We do not require identity verification for a browser opt-out beyond what the law permits. We will follow the response periods, extensions, request methods and appeal requirements applicable to the request, rather than impose a fee or unnecessary information requirement. You may also contact the privacy regulator or attorney general in your state.

9. Retention and deletion
We keep information for the purposes described above for as long as reasonably needed, taking account of order completion, service and warranty history, accounting and tax requirements, fraud prevention, disputes and legal obligations. Support attachments should be limited to what is needed for the issue. Advertising and analytics retention also depends on the enabled provider settings, the processing purpose and applicable privacy choices.

Preferences and request records may be kept to document and honor your choices. Deletion can be limited by a legal obligation, an ongoing transaction or a valid claim; where applicable, information retained for an exception will be limited to that purpose. Backups and provider systems may take additional time to clear under their applicable retention processes.

10. Security and repair privacy
No website, email service or storage method can guarantee absolute security. We seek to limit collection, access and disclosure to what is appropriate for the task and to use reasonable safeguards suited to the information. Where applicable law requires notice of a security incident, we will provide it.

Before sending a PC for service, back up your data and remove unnecessary personal files or accounts where possible. Hardware testing may require access to the installed system, so discuss access needs with us first. Do not send passwords in an ordinary email. This request to back up data does not remove responsibility or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Children and sensitive information
The storefront is intended for adults making purchases and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly seek children’s personal information. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided information can contact us to request review and deletion as applicable. Purchasers must be at least 18 and have legal capacity to enter a binding contract. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must place the order.

Where special protections apply to minors, including consent requirements for sale or sharing, those requirements apply before such processing. Do not submit precise location, health information, government identifiers or other unnecessary sensitive information through a product inquiry or service attachment.

12. External resources and international processing
The current design loads fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser’s request to that service can disclose an IP address, browser/request information and related metadata. This external font request is separate from an advertising pixel. Facebook Marketplace and Jawa review links take you to independent platforms; the current review carousel uses stored customer review text and excerpts and does not embed their tracking widgets.

Our shipping market includes all 50 US states and Washington, DC. Shopify, email, payment, advertising and other providers can process information in other countries, whose laws may differ. Applicable transfer protections and rights depend on the service, location and law; this policy does not claim that data stays only in the United States. Following an external link is subject to that service’s practices.

13. Policy changes and contact
We will post revisions here with an updated date and provide additional notice or obtain consent when legally required for a material change. Merely posting a new policy does not retroactively authorize a materially different use that requires consent. Review the current policy when choosing whether to provide information.
